<br />- <br />ct'" 60 <br />~ <br />r- <br />0 <br /> ORDINANCE 1991- 30 <br /> - <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br /> ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING LOTS 69, 70, <br /> 84,85,86 AND 87 OF THE SOUTH END ADDITION TO <br /> THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, RECORDED IN <br /> VOLUME 55, PAGE 601 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED <br /> RECORDS, LOCATED AT 717 GEORGIA STREET FROM <br /> "R-1" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW <br /> DENSITY) AND "M" SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND <br /> NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "DP-1" TWO- <br /> FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on May 7, 1991, the Zoning Commission of the City of <br /> San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the <br /> zoning from "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (low density) and <br /> "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District to <br /> "DP-1" Two-family Dwelling District (low density) for Lots 69,70, <br /> 84, 85, 86 and 87 of the South End Addition to the city of San <br /> Marcos, Hays County, Texas, and, <br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the <br /> Zoning commission did, on May 7, 1991, consider the request and <br /> voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be <br /> approved by the City Council of the City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 8th <br /> day of July , 1991, regarding the request; and, <br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning <br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos <br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the <br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as <br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby <br /> amended to rezone the following described real property located in <br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "R-1" <br /> Single-Family Dwellling District (low density) and "M" Single- <br /> Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District to "DP-1" Two- <br /> family Dwelling District (low density): <br /> LOTS 69,70,84, 85, 86 AND 87 OF THE SOUTH END ADDITION <br /> TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, RECORDED IN VOLUME 55, <br /> PAGE 601 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS. <br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) <br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to <br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting <br /> following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote <br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on July 22, 1991 it shall be <br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if <br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not <br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas. <br />
