<br /> 62 <br />- <br />~ <br />~ <br />- <br />- ORDINANCE 1991- 32 <br /> - - <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, A.MENDING SECTIONS 29-111 AND 29-1SØ <br /> OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING A NO <br /> PARKING TOW-AVilAY ZONE ON WOODS STREET 7 PROVIDING <br /> FOR SEVERABILITY7 REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING <br /> ORDINANCES 7 PROVIDING A PENALTY 7 PROVIDING FOR <br /> PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Section 29-111 of the San Marcos Code <br /> of Ordinances is amended to add the following portion of <br /> Woods Street, codified in alphabetical order, upon which <br /> parking shal1 be prohibited: <br /> Woods Street, south side, from its intersection with <br /> Comanche Street to its intersection with Fredericksburg <br /> Street. <br /> SECTION 2. That Section 29-15Ø(c) of the San Marcos <br /> Code of Ordinances is amended to add the fol1owing portion of <br /> Woods Street, codified in alphabetical order, from which <br /> illegally parked vehicles may be towed at the direction of a <br /> police officer: <br /> Itvood s Street, south side, from its intersection with <br /> Comanche Street to its intersection with Fredericksburg <br /> Street. <br /> SECTION 3. That if any word, phrase, sentence, section, <br /> or portion of this ordinances is found by a court of <br /> competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or <br /> unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions of <br /> this ordinance shall remain in effect. <br /> SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances <br /> in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 5. That any person violating any prov ision of <br /> this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and <br /> upon conviction shall be fined in accordance with Section 1-5 <br /> of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances. <br /> SECTION 6. That this Ordinance shal1 be in effect ten <br /> (lØ) days from and after its passage, and it sha 11 be <br /> published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area <br /> as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading June lO, 1991. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading June 24, 1991. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED <br /> t~ <br /> ~~~ Approved: <br /> ~þ~ <br /> Janis K.
