<br /> 66 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1991 - 83 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE <br /> SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS <br /> STATE LIBRARY FOR A LIBRARY SERVICES AND <br /> CONSTRUCTION ACT TITLE II PROGRAM GRANT ~ <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br /> APPLICATION~ AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> ACT IN ALL M.ATTERS REGARDING THE GRANT PROGRAM <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on April 8, 1991, the City of San Marcos <br />approved the submission of a preapplication to the Texas <br />State Library for a Library Services and Construction Act <br />(LSCA) Title II Program Grant for assistance in fund ing the <br />construction of a new central library~ and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has received <br />notification that funding has been awarded contingent on the <br />filing of a final application with the Texas State Library~ <br />now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the submission of a final application to <br />the Texas State Library for a LSCA Title II Program Grant, a <br />copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for <br />all intents and purposes, is hereby approved. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, be and <br />he is hereby authorized to execute the application and to act <br />in all matters regarding the LSCA Title II Program Grant <br />application on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3.
