All containers shall be returned to their <br /> proper location by the CONTRACTOR's employees. The CI"rY will <br /> encourage residents to use suitable containers. <br /> 2.11 COLLEC"rIOR VEHIC"T.RS During the entire Contract period the <br /> COftRAC"l'OR shall provide and maintain a fleet of approved <br /> collection vehicles sufficient in number, equipment and capacity <br /> to efficiently perform the work and render the services required <br /> of it by this Contract. The COlRRAC'.fOR s hall furnish alternate <br /> vehicles and personnel under breakdown and lay-off conditions. <br /> 2.11.1 Each vehicle shall be kept in sanitary condition at all <br /> times, meaning that no recyclable materials shall be permitted to <br /> remain overnight anywhere in the packer body. In addition, each <br /> collection vehicle shall be washed down not less than once a week <br /> and steam-cleaned as needed. The CI"rY reserves the right to <br /> inspect the CONTRACTOR's collection vehicles at any time. When, <br /> in the opinion of the CI"rY, a collection vehicle is considered <br /> unsanitary, the COIlrRAC'l'OR shall steam-clean and deodorize the <br /> equipment. The CI"rY"s decision shall be final in such matters. <br /> 2.11.2 The noise level for the collection vehicles during the <br /> stationary compaction process shall not exceed seventy-~ive (75) <br /> decibels at a distance of twenty-five (25) feet from the <br /> collection vehicle and at an elevation of five (5) feet from the <br /> horizontal base plane of such vehicle. <br />
