<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br />ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING LOT 3, BLOCK
<br />4, OF THE D.S. COMBS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 42, PAGE 332
<br />OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT
<br />611 MARTIN LUTHER KING DRIVE FROM "M" SINGLE-
<br />FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS
<br />DISTRICT TO "P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL
<br />DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on March 19, 1991, the Zoning Commission of the city
<br />of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br />the zoning from "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business
<br />District to "P" Public and Institutional District for Lot 3, Block
<br />4, of the D.S. Combs Addition to the City of San Marcos, Hays
<br />County, Texas, and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br />Zoning commission did, on March 19, 1991 and June 18, 1991,
<br />consider the request and voted to approve it and has recommended
<br />that the request be approved by the City Council of the CitYi and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 12th
<br />day of Auqust , 1991, regarding the requesti and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br />Ordinance, of the Code of Ordina~ces of the City of San Marcos
<br />pertaining to amendments have been meti and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of 'the
<br />public health, morals, welfare and safetYi now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as
<br />described in Section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br />amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br />San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "M"
<br />(Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District) to "P"
<br />(Public and Institutional District):
<br />
<br />LOT 3, BLOCK 4, OF THE D.S. COMBS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 42, PAGE 332 OF THE HAYS
<br />COUNTY DEED RECORDS.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br />days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br />reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br />following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br />to reconsider it. If reconsidered on August 26, 1991 it shall be
<br />in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br />approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br />reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br />general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas.

<br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of August, 1991,
<br />subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting
<br />scheduled for August 26, 1991 .
