<br /> 47 <br /> RESOLUTION 1991- laIR <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AMENDMENT NUMBER 3 TO <br /> CONTRACT NUMBER 58ØTLF6127 BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE <br /> STATE DEPARTMENT OF HI Gm"lA YS AND PUBLIC <br /> TRANSPORTATION FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT SYNCHRONIZATION <br /> PROGRAM TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT PERIOD UNTIL OCTOBER <br /> 31, 1991~ AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br /> THE AMENDMENT~ AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on January 22, 199Ø, the City of San <br /> Marcos entered into a contract with the State Department of <br /> Highways and Public Transportation (the II Statell) for a <br /> traffic light synchronization program~ and, <br /> WHEREAS, the State has determined that it is <br /> necessary to extend the contract period until October 31, <br /> 1991~ and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City agrees to this extension~ now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That Amendment Number Three to Contract <br /> Number 58ØTLF6127 between the City and the State for a <br /> traffic light synchronization program, to extend the contract <br /> period until October 31, 1991, a copy of which is attached <br /> hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, <br /> is hereby approved. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is <br /> hereby authorized to execute this amendment on behalf of the <br /> City. <br /> PART 3.
