Creating a positive community attitude for <br /> development; <br /> 5. Encouraging and assisting existing businesses to <br /> expand; <br /> 6. Identifying and stimulating prospects interested in <br /> locating in the San Marcos area; <br /> 7. Identifying and stimulating prospects interested in <br /> locating in the Austin-San Marcos-San Antonio <br /> Corridor, Central Texas Region, and State; <br /> 8. Developing a local contact committee to convey <br /> current information to prospects in an efficient, <br /> timely and cost-effective manner; and, <br /> 9. Updating the EDC fact book in a timely manner. <br /> B. The EDC and the Chamber shall authorize and make <br /> expenditures of EDC funds in conformity with the budget approved by <br /> the City Council and attached to this Agreement as Exhibit "A". <br /> This budget contains an itemization of costs to be separately <br /> incurred by the EDC and the Chamber during the year, including <br /> without limitation costs for office space, employees, equipment, <br /> supplies, travel expenses and vehicles. Fund transfers from the <br /> Administration, Operations, or Programs accounts of the EDC budget, <br /> in excess of $2,500, shall be subject to the prior approval of the <br /> City. <br /> C. The EDC and the Chamber shall each designate two (2) <br /> officers authorized to co-sign checks written on all EDC accounts. <br /> The signature of at least one official of each organization shall <br /> be required on all checks written on EDC accounts. <br />
