Mr. Farr then moved to amend the Ordin- <br /> ance on Page 18, SECTION 34. Section 23(J) to read: "Fences or <br /> shrubbery in R-l, R-2 and TH zoning districts in the front or side <br /> street setback line shall not obstruct the view of motorists travel- <br /> ing on said streets, shall not inhibit nor interfere with the safe <br /> movement of vehicular traffic and in no event shall exceed four (4 ) <br /> feet in height", and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed <br /> unanimously. The Council then voted unanimous approval of the <br /> Ordinance on second reading. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of an Ordin- <br /> ance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as fol- <br /> lows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AHENDING CHAPTER 13 1/2 OF THE CODE <br /> OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO ADOPT THE 1976 EDITION <br /> OF THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE AND ESTABLISHING AN EF- <br /> FECTIVE DATE. <br /> Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Ordinance and Mr. Guerra second- <br /> ed the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of an Ordin- <br /> ance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as fol- <br /> lows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1982-41, ADOPTED <br /> SEPTEMBER 7, 1982, WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIM- <br /> ATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH ADMINISTRATIVE <br /> UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE <br /> FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1982, AND ENDING ON <br /> SEPTEMBER 30, 1983, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE <br /> VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE TO REVISE <br /> SAID ESTI.f\1ATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; ADOPT- <br /> ING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLARING AN EF- <br /> FECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Brown moved for the adoption of the Ordinance on third and final <br /> reading and Mr. Farr seco rded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> The Council directed the list of street priorities be placed on the <br /> July 18 agenda, and there was a consensus to include Edward Gary as <br /> one of the priority streets. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE APPLICATION OF HAYS <br /> COUNTY NATIONAL BANK TO BE CITY DEPOSITORY FOR THE <br /> PERIOD BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1983, AND ENDING SEPTEM- <br /> BER 30, 1985; DESIGNATING HAYS COUNTY NATIONAL BANK <br /> AS THE DEPOSITORY OF THE FUNDS OF CITY FOR SAID PER- <br /> IOD; APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE DEPOSI- <br /> TORY CONTRACT TO SECURE FUNDS OF CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT <br /> ON BEHALF OF CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
