D. Oliver and others. <br /> Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of one appointment <br /> to the Zoning Commission. Since there were two Council Members absent <br /> from the meeting, Mr. Brown moved to table the appointment to the July <br /> 25, 1983 Council Meeting and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which <br /> passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br /> on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF 7HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A CONTIGUOUS <br /> TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 57.67 ACRES, <br /> MORE OR LESS, LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL <br /> JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRE- <br /> SENT CITY BOUNDARIES; APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR <br /> SAID TRACT; EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID <br /> CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID TRACT; GRANTING TO THE <br /> INHABITANTS OF SAID TRACT ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVI- <br /> LEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY; BINDING SAID <br /> INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, RULES <br /> AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- <br /> IVE DATE. <br /> Mayor Craddock moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading and <br /> Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of streets to re- <br /> ceive general maintenance (overlay). Fifty thousand dollars was placed <br /> in the budget for street overlay maintenance and a list of some of the <br /> streets in need of overlay was presented to the Council for their ap- <br /> proval. The list is attached to these minutes. Mr. Farr moved for <br /> approval of the list of streets with the deletion of the extension of <br /> J. L. Green, the leveling of the railroad crossings and Clyde Street, <br /> which would bring the list of streets into balance with the funds al- <br /> located. Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> * Messrs. Guerra and Moore were not present at this meeting. <br />
