;p; HALFF <br />ATTACHMENT A <br />PROPOSED SCOPE FOR DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES <br />For The <br />Airport 12 -inch Water Main Project <br />San Marcos, Texas <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />Page 2 <br />The Airport 12 -inch Water Main Project consists of design and construction phase services for the <br />installation of a 12 -inch water main from SH 21 through the San Marcos Airport to the Gary Job Corps <br />water main (approximately 8,300 linear feet). <br />TECHNICAL STANDARDS AND PROCEDURE ASSUMPTIONS <br />• Microstation and /or Geopak computer applications will be used for all design and plan sheets <br />produced on this project, as well as the following: <br />• City of San Marcos (COSM) Standard Specifications and Details <br />• Texas Department of Transportation Utility Manual <br />• Design of traffic control plans will conform to the version of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic <br />Control Devices, Texas Department of Transportation Standards, and COSM standards that are <br />expected to be in effect at the proposed time of construction. <br />• Environmental requirements per applicable jurisdiction: TCEQ, TxDOT, COSM, Texas Historical <br />Commission, Hays County, EPA, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and USACE. <br />The Preliminary Design, Final Design, and Construction Phases of the Project will be developed under <br />the following Tasks: <br />Task l: Preliminary Design Phase Services <br />1.1 Data Collection: <br />1.1.1 Conduct 2 project meetings and 1 public meeting with city staff, key design team <br />members, and \or stakeholders to review work plan, establish key dates, review <br />report parameters, and obtain project feedback. <br />1.1.2 Obtain most recent mapping and GIS files from COSM, and prepare preliminary <br />maps and information suitable for conducting a preliminary reconnaissance of the <br />corridor. <br />1.1.3 Perform site visit. Field -walk the corridor with city staff to determine issues, <br />constraints, potential alignments, etc. Document findings and record on available <br />mapping. <br />
