<br />office or any activity undertaken to influence the passage, <br />defeat or final content of legislation. <br />SECTION 9. Compliance With Laws: PHS agrees to comply <br />with all applicable laws, ordinances, codes and regulations of <br />the local, state and federal governments including but not <br />limited to those laws, ordinances, codes and regulations <br />pertaining to equal employment opportunity and those pertaining <br />to discrimination against participants. With respect to the <br />requirement of State law that a contract for human services to <br />the indigent entered into between a City and a social services <br />organization may not provide for more than 50% of the annual <br />budget of the organization to be derived from City funds, PHS <br />declares that at the time of the execution of this agreement, <br />funds to be provided herein do not exceed 50% of the annual <br />budget of PHS. In the event that such funds do exceed 50% of <br />the annual budget of PHS at any time during which this contract <br />is in effect, PHS agrees to notify City immediately so that <br />appropriate monetary adjustments to this contract can be made to <br />assure compliance with State Law. <br />SECTION 10. Breach of Contract: <br />A. If the City Manager of the City determines that the <br />activities as described in the human services funding <br />application attached hereto are not being carried out as <br />approved by the City or that PHS is in breach of any of the <br />terms of this agreement, the City Manager shall notify PHS in <br />writing of the deficiency.
