<br />Project within a reasonable time, or (3) cooperate in revising the <br />Project scope and quality to reduce the Construction Cost. During the <br />development of the Project through the phases described by Article 1 of <br />this Agreement and prior to final approval of construction contract <br />documents, by the CITY, the ARCHITECT shall monitor the estimated <br />probable construction cost in relation to the established fixed limit. <br />If necessary, the ARCHITECT shall implement construction cost <br />savings measures or otherwise endeavor to limit probable construction <br />cost to the level of available funds set by the CITY. <br />AR~ICLE 4 <br />REDmuas:A'RT.R EXPElISES <br />4. 1 Reimbursable expenses are to be charged to the CITY by the <br />ARCHITECT at actual cost and shall include such things as expenses for <br />transportation, equipment, travel, communications, subsistence and <br />lodging away from home, reproduction, printing and binding of contract <br />documents and similar incidentals. <br />AR~ICLE 5 <br />PAYlIEIf'.rS ro '.rHE ARCHI'.f'E~ <br />5.1 PADmlRS OR ACcOmrr OF BASIC SERVICES <br />5.1.1 PaYments for Basic Services shall be made to ARCHITECT <br />monthly following receipt by CITY of ARCHITECT's invoice therefor. The <br />amounts of these invoices shall be based upon the extent of work <br />completed by the ARCHITECT, on a percentage basis; provided, that <br />payments for each phase of work in progress shall not exceed the <br />compensation amount specified for that phase in Section 13.1.1 less any <br />disputed amounts, pending resolution thereof. <br />5.2 PADmlRS OR AccOmrr OF ADDI~IORAL SERVICES <br />5.2.1 Payments on account of the ARCHITECT's Additional Services as <br />defined in paragraph 1.4 shall be made monthly upon presentation of the <br />ARCHITECT's statement of services rendered or expenses incurred, less <br />any disputed amounts, pending resolution thereof. <br />AR~ICLE 6 <br />.ARCH.lTK~. 5 ACcOllR'rIBG RECORDS <br />6.1 All expense records of ARCHITECT shall be kept on a <br />recognized accounting basis acceptable to the CITY and shall be <br />available to the CITY or the CITY's authorized representative at <br />mutually convenient times. <br /> <br />-14- <br />
