Brown <br /> Gerald G. Farr <br /> Fred Guerra <br /> * Betty Jane Kissler <br /> John A. Kreczmer <br /> * Jaime Moore <br /> City Manager A. C. Gonzalez <br /> City Secretary Janis K. Womack <br /> City Attorney Barbara Jean Edwards <br /> Director of Finance Earl Williams <br /> Also Present: Jeff Watkins and Gregg Echols. <br /> Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. <br /> Mayor Craddock moved to receive the City Manager's 1983-1984 budget <br /> and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. City Manager Gonzalez stated the <br /> tax information in the budget summary includes the amount of money <br /> received last year using last year's tax base. He stated the ad <br /> valorem tax base could change, and that this information would be <br /> received shortly from the CAD. He stated the General Fund is out of <br /> balance $505,911.00 and was recommending $300,000.00 of revenue shar- <br /> ing be applied, leaving the General Fund out of balance by $205,911.00. <br /> He stated the General Fund is granting funds to the Cemetery and Air- <br /> port Funds in the approximate amount of $95,000.00. The Utility <br /> Fund is presented in balance. The sales tax received this year has <br /> increased over the anticipated revenue amounts. He anticipates the <br /> fund balance at the end of this fiscal year to be approximately two <br /> million dollars. The Council voted unanimously to receive the 83-84 <br /> proposed budget. <br /> Mayor Craddock then moved a public hearing be scheduled on the entire <br /> 83-84 proposed budget and general revenue sharing for Monday, August <br /> 15, 1983 at 7:30 p.m. and directed the City Secretary publish notice <br /> of the public hearing and the budget summary.
