~ 26 - - ORDINANCE 1991-69 .AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, N1ENDING SECTIONS 29-111 AND 29-15Ø OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING A NO PARKING TOW-AWAY ZONE ON BOTH SIDES OF HUTCHISON STREET; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 29-111 of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances is amended to add the follmving streets codified in alphabetical order, upon which parking shall be prohibited: Hutchison Street, north side, from its intersection with Guadalupe Street east to its intersection with L.B.J. Drive Hutchison Street, south side, from its intersection with Guadalupe Street to a point 265 feet east. SECTION 2. That Section 29-15Ø(c) of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances is amended to add the following streets, codified in alphabetical order, from which illegally parked vehicles may be towed at the direction of a police officer: Hutchison Street, north side, from its intersection with Guadalupe Street east to its intersection with L.B.J. Drive. Hutchison Street, south side, from its intersection with Guadalupe Street to a point 265 feet east. SECTION 3. That if any word, phrase, sentence, section, or portion of this ordinance is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall remain in effect. SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. That any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in accordance with Section 1-5 of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances. SECTION 6. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (lØ) days from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas.
