IDop 288 <br /> Denton,TX 76201-3698 <br /> Specific activities for which the City is ~ credit are: <br /> Activity 310 - Elevation Certificate: '!he city Enviromnent & Engineering DepartIænt <br /> has been maintaining FEMA Elevation Certificates since 1990 ani will ex>ntinue to do <br /> so. <br /> Activity 320 - Map Determinations: '!be San Marcos Enviromnent & Engineering <br /> Department responds to inquiries to determine what Flood Insurance Rate Map zone a <br /> property is in. <br /> Activity 340 - Hazard Disclosure: '!he San Marcos SUl:rli. vision ordinance requires <br /> that sutdi visiŒl plats contain a note stating whether or not the sutdi visiŒl falls <br /> within the one hundred-year floodplain, am if so, an engineer's statement of the <br /> minimum. permissible floor elevatiŒl that will protect the improveIÆmts from flooding <br /> am high waters. <br /> Activity 350 - Flood ProtectiŒl Library: '!he San Marcos Public Library now contains <br /> references Œl the city's flood hazard areas am flood protection measures that are <br /> listed in the library's card catalog. <br /> Activity 420 - Open Space Preservation: At least 4% of the regulated floodplain <br /> consists of city park land and is kept free from buildings arxi filling. <br /> Activity 440 - Flood Data Maintenance : '!be San Marcos EnviJ:onIœnt & Engineering <br /> Department maintains computer records of base map; ani property parcels for the <br /> entire city. <br /> Activity 450 - StorIl'Mater Managenent: New developnents in San Marcos are required <br /> by ordinance to mitigate the impact of increased ~ious cover on existing rates <br /> of storIl'Mater runoff. <br /> Activity 510 - Repetitive IDSSes: 'Ihree repetitive loss properties have been <br /> located ani identified on the city's mapping system. <br /> Activity 530 - Retrofitting: since 1990, one ~wl.acia1 property identified as a <br /> repetitive loss property has been retrofitted using floodproofing constructiŒl <br /> methods. <br /> ActiVity 630 - Dam Safety: '!he city of San Marcos is included in the State of <br /> Texas' awroved dam safety progt:am. <br /> City Hall. 630 East Hopkins.
