<br />RESOLUTION 1990- 3 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS OF A PROPOSED AGREEMENT \VITH THE <br />GREATER SAN MARCOS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />COUNCIL AND THE GREATER SAN MARCOS CHAMBER OF <br />COMMERCE RELATING TO AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT, AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Greater San Marcos Chamber of Commerce <br />administers a community Economic Development Program through the <br />Greater San Marcos Economic Development Council; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos desires to renew its contract <br />with the Greater Economic Development Council and the San Marcos <br />Chamber of Commerce in order to promote orderly and responsible <br />economic development for the San Marcos geographic area; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN ~~RCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the terms and conditions of an agreement <br />between the City of San Marcos, the Greater San Marcos Chamber of <br />Commerce and the Greater San Marcos Economic Development Council, <br />relating to an economic development program, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto and made a part hereof for all intents and <br />purposes, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the City Manager of the City of San Marcos, <br />Larry D. Gilley, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute this <br />agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 3.
