Brown <br />Gerald G. Farr <br />* Fred Guerra <br />Betty Jane Kissler <br />John A. Kreczmer <br />Jaime Moore <br /> <br />City Manager A. C. Gonzalez <br />City Secretary Janis K. Womack <br />Special Counsel Charles Chapman <br />Director of Finance Earl Williams <br />Director of Public Works George Boeker <br />Chief of Police Myron Galchutt <br />City Planner Joe Garza <br /> <br />Also Present: Mark Hendricks, Jerri Martin, Olga Garza, Jerry Sebek, <br />Mo Johnson, Tom Allen, Kim Dallefeld, Gregg Echols, Rodney Cobb, Richard <br />Medina and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration award of bid for the Softball <br />Complex fencing. Mayor Craddock moved that Allie Fence Company of San <br />Antonio, Texas be awarded bid in the amount of $35,949.20 and that <br />Denny's Fencing of San Marcos be returned their bid bond. Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock then moved to the Executive Session on the agenda, as <br />Mr. Chapman needed to leave the meeting early. Mayor Craddock moved <br />the Council adjourn to Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, <br />§2(g), V.A.C.S., to discuss personnel and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously (1:08 p.m.). <br /> <br />Mr. Brown noved to convene at 2:03 p.m. and Ms. Kissler seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock then introduced for consideration approval of mainten- <br />ance recommendations of the Parks Advisory Board of buildings and faci- <br />lities in Rio Vista and City Parks. City Manager Gonzalez recommended <br />the Council delay a decision until January 1st of the Board's recommenda- <br />tions. He reviewed Option 1 with the Council, which consisted of the <br />Parks Board's recommendation,s including 2 personnel for recreational <br />areas, $20,000 equipment, $60,000 Museum Building (hotel/motel tax?), <br />$20,000 Rio Vista #2 Building, $50,000 SCS, $5,000 bath facilities-and <br />$4,000 rock fence. He also introduced Option 2 which would be a reor- <br />ganization (a copy of which is attached to these minutes). Mo Johnson <br />and Tom Allen discussed the need for security and lighting prior to <br />repair and renovation. They also reiterated the Board's desire for <br />Parks and Recreation Departments maintenance personnel to be split as <br />separate divisions. After discussion, Mr. Brown moved Option 2 be <br />included in the budget with the understanding that changes could be <br />made in January, 1984 if changes were needed in manpower and equipment <br />realignment. Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously <br />(Ms. Kissler left the meeting at 3:00 p.m. and Mr. Kreczmer left the <br />meeting at 3:03 p.m. prior to the vote on this matter). <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the salary <br />for Municipal Court Judge Marcos Hernandez.
