<br /> 155 <br /> RESOLUTION 1990- 36 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, TEMPORARILY SUSPENDING THE PROVISIONS OF <br /> SECTION 25-3 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDNANCES TO <br /> ALLOW SIDEWALK SALES IN THE CITY'S DESIGNATED MAIN <br /> STREET AREA FROM THURSDAY, MAY 3, 1990 THROUGH SUNDAY, <br /> MAY 6, 1990, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the San Marcos City Council has been requested by the <br /> Downtown Association to temporarily allow sidewalk sales to be <br /> conducted in the City's designated Main Street area during the <br /> Cinco de Mayo celebration; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to encourage the citizens of San <br /> Marcos to patronize local business during the Cinco de Mayo celebration <br /> by allowing these sidewalk sales; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1.
