22 ACCORDING TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 30, ARTICLE II, DIVISION 4, SEWAGE SYSTEM IMPACT FEE: WASTEWATER: SERVICE UNIT (S. U . ). A un i t of development which produces the same fl ow as is produced by a single-family dwelling unit with three (3.0) occupants at one hundred (100) gallons per capita per day average fl ow or three hundred (300) gallons per day per unit. (10) Laundromats 0.22 S.U./machine ( 11) Car wash 0.70 S.U./wash rack PLEASE NOTE: When in the determination of the Public Works Director or his designated representatives, a new structure, remodeling or addition is not included in the above categories prior to the issuance of the building and/or plumbing permit, the Director of Public Works or his designated representatives shall derive the service units for the proposed use. Said derivation shall be made utilizing the water consumption from similar establishments. The impact fee for non-residential users will be considered an initial fee to establish usage base. An additional annual fee will be charged every January 15th, for additional capacity used above the usage base for a period of five (5) years calculated using the following formula: Average daily usage (gal./day) - Base usage (gal./day) = (over/under) base usage (gal./day)
