CONSENT-ABANDONMENT OF ALLEY 27 THE STATE OF TEXAS KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF HAYS ;(.';94.S15 831 865 WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, (City) is considering vacating and abandoning a public alley in the O.E. Metcalfe Addition to the City of San Marcos, Texas, and being that alley which abuts the rear of Lots 1 through 17 of the O.E. Metcalfe Addition to the City of San Marcos as shown on the plat recorded in Volume 68, Page 483, Hays County Deed Records; and, WHEREAS, the undersigned Ruth Howard is an owner of property abutting a portion of said alley, to-wit: a 7.02 acre tract of unplatted property in the T,.J. Chambers Survey fronting on Columbia Street; and, WHEREAS, this alley has never been developed or used by the public or by the abutting owners for ingress, roadway, or utility purposes; and, WHEREAS, it is to the advantage of the undersigned and to the advantage of the public generally to abandon this portion of the alley; NO\v, THEREFORE, in consideration of benefits to be received by the undersigned and the general public, which are hereby acknowledged, Ruth Howard, on behalf of herself and her heirs and assigns, does he re by consent to the vacation and abandonment of the alley within the O.E.
