Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING THE RECORD LOCATION OF THE COMMON BOUNDARY BET~mEN THE TWO ALLEYS TRAVERS- ING BLOCK 20 IN THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, ACCORDING TO THE MAP OF SAID ORIGINAL TOWN OF RECORD IN VOLUME 1, PAGE 20, OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND THAT CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED BY RODGER M. ZIMMER- MAN TO COLLIER M. SUBLETT BY DEED DATED AUGUST 21, 1981 AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 363, PAGE 645 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, BY AD- DING AN ARTICLE TO BE NUMBERED VII TO SAID CHAPTER 2 PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF A CO~~ISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN; PROVIDING FOR THE COMPOSITION AND APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS OF SUCH BOARD AND THE FUNC- TIONS AND DUTIES OF SUCH BOARD; AND DECLARING AN EF- FECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. Mayor Craddock then moved to amend the Ordinance to change the wording throughout the Ordinance from Commission on the Status of Women to "Commission for Women", to con- form with the name of the State Commission for Women. Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimous approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Guerra stated he would like the Council to consider the creation of an Ordinance on the Commission for Minorities sometime in February.
