Subpart B - LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE <br />Chapter 1 - DEVELOPMENT PROCEDURES <br />ARTICLE 9: - CONSTRUCTION PERMITS <br />DIVISION 5: - SIGN PERMIT <br />(16) Signs displayed by aircraft in flight. <br />(17) Unlighted attached signs up to 32 square feet in area on trailers or portable buildings containing an accessory <br />use temporarily located on the premises, provided the signs pertain to the use of the trailer or portable building. <br />(18) Temporary signs, except for banner signs over public rights -of -way. <br />(19) Unlighted signs located on property used for agricultural purposes which pertain to the sale of agricultural <br />products produced on the premises. <br />(20) Unlighted signs or electric signs, other than CEVM signs, plugged into an existing electric outlet, in first or <br />second story windows provided that the signs do not exceed 50 percent of the window's size (window signs are <br />included in the total on- premise attached sign calculation). <br />(21) Change in the sign copy on an existing sign or the replacement of a nonstructural panel or sign face within a <br />fixed frame, other than changes that effect the status of off - premises signs or CEVM signs. <br />(22) Painting, repainting, cleaning or other normal maintenance and repair of a sign not involving restructuring or a <br />structural alteration. <br />(23) Political signs less than 36 square feet in size and less than eight feet in height. <br />(d) Effect. Approval of a sign permit authorizes the placement, construction, repair or other activity authorized by the <br />permit in accordance with its terms. <br />Section 1„ 9. 5.2 ,,. AppIllicatiloin Requirements <br />(a) Responsible Official. The II 2kas7s7or7g .. -II )Director is the responsible official for a sign permit. <br />(b) Contents. An application for a sign permit shall be prepared in accordance with Chapter 1 of the Technical Manual. <br />(a) Decision. The Director shall either approve, conditionally approve or deny the application for a sign permit. If a <br />variance petition has been submitted to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals, the Director shall suspend <br />the Director's decision until after the petition is decided. <br />(b) Time for Decision. The Director shall make a decision on the permit within five working days after all requested <br />materials including, but not limited to, drawings, specifications, and other information necessary to adequately review <br />the application has been provided by the applicant; or, if a variance petition is pending, within five working days of the <br />date the Director is notified of the Zoning Board of Adjustments' decision on the petition. <br />(c) Amendments. After the approval of a sign permit, an applicant shall not be required to submit an amended <br />application, if proposed amendments do not involve changes to the location, sign type, electrification or increase in <br />size or height of the sign. <br />Section 1„ 9. 5.4 ,,. Appeal and Relief (Piro uwir <br />(a) Appeal. The applicant and any interested person may appeal the II 24aRr ;iRiq...- DDirector's decision on a sign permit to <br />the Zoning Board of Adjustments in accordance with Article 10, Division 1 of this Chapter 1.
