<br /> PROPOSITION NO. 14 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $975,000 ELECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER <br /> SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS FOR RELOCATING ELECTRIC <br /> TRANSMISSION FACILITIES IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 15 <br /> <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $200,000 AIRPORT REVENUE BONDS FOR <br /> CONSTRUCTING AND EQUIPPING AIRCRAFT HANGARS <br /> Section 8. Persons Oualified to Vote. <br /> All resident qualified electors of said City shall be <br /> permitted to vote at said election. <br /> Section 9. Bilinaual Election Materials. <br /> <br /> The election materials enumerated in Secs. 272.001, et seq., <br /> V.T.C.A. Election Code, shall be printed in both English and Spanish <br /> for use at each polling place and for absentee voting. <br /> Section 10. Notice of Election. <br /> <br /> Notice of said election shall be given by posting substantial <br /> copies of this ordinance in both English and Spanish at the City <br /> Hall and at three (3) other places in said City; and substantial <br /> copies of this ordinance in both English and Spanish shall be <br /> published on the same day in each of two (2) successive weeks in a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in said City, the date of the first <br /> publication to be not less than fourteen (14) days prior to the date <br /> set for said election. <br /> Section 11. Public Meeting. <br /> <br /> It is officially found, determined, and declared that the <br /> meeting at which this Ordinance has been adopted was open to the <br /> public and public notice of the time, place and subject matter of <br /> the public business to be considered and acted upon at said meeting, <br /> including this Ordinance was given, all as required by the <br /> applicable provisions of Article 6252-17, Vernon's Texas Civil <br /> Statutes, as amended. <br /> Section 12. Emeraencv Declaration. <br /> <br /> The public importance of this measure and the fact that it is <br /> to the interest of the City and its inhabitants to provide funds for <br /> the purposes herein contemplated at the earliest possible date for <br /> the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety <br /> constitute an emergency and an imperative public necessity, <br /> requiring that this Ordinance take effect and be in full force <br /> -10- <br /> 3967£/10 <br />
