<br /> 846 20{;' <br /> TAX ABATEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS AND ADVENTIST HEALTH SYSTEMjSUNBELT, INC. <br /> STATE OF TEXAS <br /> COUNTY OF HAYS KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> This tax abatement agreement (this "Agreement"), is entered into <br /> between the City of San Marcos, Texas, (the "City") a Texas municipal <br /> corporation, and Adventist Health SystemjSunbelt, I nc., doing business <br /> as Central Texas Medical Center (" CTMC " ), a corporation, each acting by <br /> and through its authorized officers. <br /> I. <br /> GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> A. This tax abatement agreement is authorized by the Property <br /> Redevelopment and Tax Abatement Act, Chapter 3l2 of the Texas <br /> Tax Code. <br /> B. This Agreement is governed, also, by the City of San Marcos' <br /> Guidelines Governing Tax Abatement and Other Economic <br /> Development Incentives, as adopted and amended by the City <br /> Council. <br /> C. CTr-1.C is the owner of the property which is the subject of <br /> this Agreement and which is described in Exhibit A (the <br /> "Property" ), which is attached hereto and incorporated herein <br /> for all purposes. The Property is wholly within a <br /> Reinvestment Zone duly designated for tax abatement purposes <br /> by the City Council of the City and is within the city 1 irrlÌ t s <br /> of the City. <br />
