2) Negotiate Terms and Conditions of Employment. Assist the City in conducting <br />negotiations with the chosen candidate as deemed appropriate by the City. In addition, <br />the Consultant will determine and define any special needs or concerns of the chosen <br />candidate, including anything that could be a complicating factor. Furthermore, the <br />Consultant will assist the City in designing win - win - solutions to negotiation "log jams." <br />3) Announcement /Press Release. Assist the SGR will assist the City in the coordination and <br />with drafting of announcements or press releases in order to avoid the embarrassment of a <br />premature announcement that does not work out. In addition, the Consultant will assist <br />the City in notifying all senior staff and unsuccessful candidates before they read about it <br />in the newspaper. <br />H. Transition Strategy <br />Brief the City on transition issues to be addressed and provide a recommendation on what <br />actions to take. Together, with the City, create a transition strategy that builds the foundation <br />for a successful long -term relationship with the successful candidate. Included in the <br />transition strategy is a High Performing Team Workshop with City Manager and his /her <br />management team using behavioral styles of the management team to strengthen team <br />performance. In addition, the Consultant will perform an appraisal and review of the new <br />City Manager after 12 months that includes a 360 degree feedback element. Reimbursable <br />expenses associated with this task are not included in the basic fee. These expenses will be <br />negotiated prior to the start of this task. <br />I.
