Collect flood prone bridges /area information from Hays County <br />i. Existing Community Rating Service (CRS) program <br />2. Field reconnaissance, surveying and mapping <br />a. Visit with City maintenance staff at sites, review existing problem areas and <br />concerns <br />b. Coordinate with City staff to develop maps as necessary /exchange data <br />c. Survey bridges /culverts as needed <br />I Hydrology (creek and floodplain related) <br />a. Develop HEC -HMS models for Cottonwood Creek watershed (see Halff <br />document for study limit details as it illustrates the work being done for the GBRA <br />Flood Study) <br />b. Develop hydrographs for the existing 2 -, 5 -, 10 -, 25 -, 50 -, 100 -, and 500- year <br />storms <br />c. Develop hydrographs for the fully developed 2 -, 5 -,10 -, 25 -, 50 -, 100 -, and 500 - <br />year storms (propose full range of storms to match the GBRA Flood Study effort <br />and assess /prepare conceptual regional detention facility designs) <br />d. Coordinate with City staff to provide update on findings /approach <br />e. To prepare these models, work in concert with ongoing USACE /GBRA flood <br />study to ensure consistent approach in computing times of concentration, runoff <br />curve numbers, and model assumptions <br />f. Obtain final HEC -HMS models from Halff and perform review <br />g. Prepare watershed maps illustrating subareas, time of concentration flow paths, <br />land use assumptions, coordinate with Halff <br />h. Review technical memo summarizing hydrologic findings <br />4. Hydraulics (floodplain modeling and mapping) <br />
