The City staff is authorized and directed to submit the proposed venue project <br />designation for the Conference Center Project to the State Comptroller's office for review and <br />approval under Texas Local Government Code 9334.022. <br /> <br />PART 3. Ifthe State Comptroller's office approves the designation of the Conference Center <br />Project as a venue project, then, in accordance with Texas Local Government Code 9334.255, the <br />ballot language to be used at the November 6, 2007 election to propose the designation of the <br />Conference Center Project as a venue project to be financed by an increase of up to 2% in the City's <br />Hotel Occupancy Tax is proposed to read as follows: <br /> <br />Authorizing the City of San Marcos to establish, develop and construct the San Marcos <br />Conference Center Project as a venue project, and to impose a hotel occupancy tax at a <br />maximum rate of nine percent (9%) for the purpose of financing the project. <br /> <br />PART 4.
