Joints <br /> shall be normal to the grade of gutter and the centerline of the <br /> roadway. <br /> (c) "Scored" joints approximately 1/4" deep shall be <br /> constructed so that the maximum distance between "scored" joints <br /> is ten (10') feet. The scoring shall extend entirely on the <br /> exposed surface of the curb and gutter and shall be normal to the <br /> grade of the gutter and the centerline of the roadway. <br /> d. Valley Gutter: <br /> (1) Materials and work shall be in accordance with all <br /> of the pertinent requirements of Specification 4, Concrete Work- <br /> General. Concrete shall be Class C. <br /> (2) Construction methods for curb and gutter given above <br /> shall apply. Valley gutter shall conform to the grades and <br /> details shown on the drawings. <br /> (3) The finished surface shall be correct and true to <br /> grade and alignment within a tolerance 1/8 inch in 10 feet. <br /> (4) Standard Finish - hair broomed to uniform, gritty <br /> surface. <br /> e. Picnic Table Slabs: <br /> (1) Materials and work shall be in accordance with other <br /> pertinent sections of these specifications. Concrete shall be <br /> Class C. <br /> (2) Construction methods given above for sidewalk shall <br /> apply. Expansion joint materials, and/or contraction joint shall <br /> not be required for Picnic Table Slabs. Each individual slab shall <br /> be placed level at each location in accordance with the <br /> requirements shown on the drawings. <br /> ( 3 ) The finished surface shall be correct and true to <br /> grade and alignment within a tolerance 1/8 inch in 10 feet. <br /> (4) Standard Finish - hair broomed to uniform, gritty <br /> surface. <br /> 5-6 <br />
