The work covered by this specification consists of <br /> furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials, including <br /> all lamps, and of performing all operations, including cutting, <br /> channeling, and chasing, necessary for the installation of complete <br /> wiring system, electric service connections, and electrical <br /> equipment,. in strict accordance with this section of the <br /> specifications and the applicable drawings, and subject to the <br /> terms and conditions of the contract. <br /> 9-02 APPLICABLE SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS: <br /> a. The following specifications and standards form a part of <br /> this specification to the extent indicated by the references <br /> thereto. <br /> (1) Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc.: <br /> Standard for Cabinets and Boxes. <br /> Standard for Industrial Control Equipment. <br /> Standard for Thermoplastic-Insulated Wires. <br /> Standard for Service Cable. <br /> Standard for Service Equipment. <br /> (2) National Board of Fire Underwriters: <br /> National Electrical Code, Standard for <br /> Electrical Wiring and Apparatu& <br /> (3) National Ele~trical Manufacturers Association: <br /> Industrial Control Standards <br /> 9-03 GENERAL I <br /> a. The installation shall comply with the applicable rules of <br /> the 1987 National Electrical Code, the 1988 and 1989 supplements <br /> thereto, except as otherwise noted on the other specifications or <br /> on the drawings, or specified herein, but in no case shall the <br /> installation be below. the requirements of the code. All electrical <br /> materials shall be new as approved by the Underwriters' <br /> Laboratories, Inc., except as otherwise specified herein. <br /> Consideration will be given to certified test reports of a <br /> 9-1 <br />
