<br />19 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 73 <br /> <br />l\N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN f-U\RCOS, TEXl\.S Ar.mNDING <br />SECTION 29-11Ø OF THE SAN ~~RCOS CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF STOP SIGNS; <br />AMENDING SECTION 29-109 OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE DELE'fION OF <br />YIELD SIGNS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; <br />REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; <br />PROVIDING A PENALTY AND ESTABLISHING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN r'1ARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Section 29-110 of the San t4arcos Code of <br />Ordinances is amended by the addition of the following in proper <br />alphabetical order: <br /> <br />Guadalupe Street at v~ood Street North <br />Hutchinson Street at Field Street East - West <br />McKinnon Street at Field Street East - West <br />Prospect Street at Bracewood Circle East <br /> <br />Section 2. That Section 29-ltã9 of the San Harcos Code of <br />Ordinances is amended by the deletion of t.he follm-ling in proper <br />alphabetical order: <br /> <br />Field Street and McKinnon Street East - West <br />Hutchinson Street and Field Street North - South <br /> <br />Section 3: That if any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or <br />paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid <br />by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of <br />this ordinance shall remain in effect as if the unconstitutional or <br />invalid portion had not been adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br />conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. That any person who violates any provision of this <br />ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction <br />shall be subject to the penalty prescribed in Section 1-5 of the San <br />Marcos Code of Ordinances. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (lØ) days <br />from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper <br />of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading August 27, 1990. <br /> <br />PASSED }\ND APPROVED on second read ing September 10, 1990. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />JlA.~ <br />At~e~J>1! 1~ <br />r;!):;.
