<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br /> ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING LOT 16 OF
<br /> WILLIAM GOFORTH'S FIRST SUBURBAN ADDITION AS
<br /> RECORDED IN VOLUME 88, PAGE 80 OF THE HAYS
<br /> COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 1513 POST ROAD
<br /> FROM "M" SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX, AND
<br /> NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "R-1"
<br /> (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT) AND
<br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on August 7, 1990, the Zoning commission of the City
<br /> of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br /> the zoning from "M" Single-Family, Duplex, and Neighborhood
<br /> Business District to "R-1" (Single-Family Dwelling District) of Lot
<br /> 16, of William Goforth's First Sul;t::~~~n Addition as recorded in
<br /> Volume 88, Page 80 of the Hays County De,",d Eecords.
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br /> Zoning commission did, on August 7, 1990, consider the request and
<br /> voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be
<br /> approved by the City Council of the City; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 8th
<br /> day of October , 1990, regarding the request; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br /> adoption of the follo'VTinq ordinance is in the interest of the
<br /> public health, moral""'., w31fare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as
<br /> described in Section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br /> amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "Mil
<br /> (Single-family, Duplex, and Neighborhood Business District) to "R-
<br /> 1" (Single-family Dwelling District):
<br /> LOT 16, OF WILLIAM GOFORTH'S FIRST SUBURBAN
<br /> ADDITION AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT RECORDED IN
<br /> VOLUME 88, PAGE 80 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED
<br /> RECORDS.
<br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br /> following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on October 22, 1990 it shall be
<br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br /> general circulation in the area aG required by the Charter of the
<br /> City of San Marcos, Texas.
<br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of October , 1990,
<br /> subject to reconsideration at the next regular city council meeting
<br /> scheduled for October 22, 1990 .
