<br /> 78 <br />,Q <br />v- <br /><1'"' <br />- <br />- <br />~ <br /> ORDINANCE 1990- 8l <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br /> ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING 0.94 ACRES <br /> BEING A PORTION OF FARM LOT 15, ORIGINAL TOWN <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT <br /> 715 WEST HOPKINS STREET FROM "M" SINGLE- <br /> FAMILY, DUPLEX, AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS <br /> DISTRICT TO "O-P" OFFICE-PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on September 4, 1990, the Zoning Commission of the <br /> City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to <br /> change the zoning from "M" Single-Family, Duplex, and Neighborhood <br /> Business District to "O-P" Office-Professional District of 0.94 <br /> acres being a portion of Farm L~t 15, Original Town of San Marcos, <br /> Hays County, Texas, and, <br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the <br /> Zoning commission did, on September 4, 1990, consider the request <br /> and voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be <br /> approved by the city Council of the city; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 5th <br /> day of November , 1990, regarding the request; and, <br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning <br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos <br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the <br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as <br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby <br /> amended to rezone the following described real property loc~ted in <br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "M" <br /> (Single-family, Duplex, and Neighborhood Business District) to "0- <br /> P" (Office-Professional District): <br /> BEGINNING at a point where the Southeast line of Hopkins <br /> Street intersects the center of an alley which runs at <br /> right angles to Hopkins street and from said street to <br /> San Antonio Street along the Southwest side of Lots Nos. <br /> Eight, Nine and Ten of the John Scott Addition to the <br /> City of San Marcos, this beginning point being the North <br /> corner of that portion of said Farm Lot No. Fifteen (15) <br /> conveyed by D.A. Glover, et aI, to Mrs. Sarah E. Mott by <br /> deed dated January 19,1990, recorded in Vol. 39, Page 4, <br /> Hays County Deed Records; <br /> THENCE S. 45° W, with the Southeast line of Hopkins <br /> Street 158-% feet to the center of another alley which <br /> runs from Hopkins to San Antonio Streets parallel with <br /> the first alley above mentioned, such point being the <br /> West corner of the property conveyed by Glover, et aI, to <br /> Mott by deed above referred to; <br /> THENCE S, 45° E. with the center of said alley 258 feet <br /> to a point for the South corner of the property hereby <br /> conveyed, same being the South corner of said property <br /> conveyed by Glover, et aI, to Mott by deed above referred <br /> to; <br />
