<br />~ 97 <br />'" <br />~ <br />- ORDINANCE NO. 199Ø - 85 <br />,.-! <br />~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET <br />ORDINANCE FOR THE 199Ø-199l FISCAL YEAR TO <br />PROVIDE INCREASED FUNDING FOR CITY <br />PARTICIPATION IN THE TEXAS HISTORICAL <br />COMMISSION CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT GRANT <br />PROGRAM AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after publication of notice on July 13, 199Ø, the City <br />Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a public hearing on July <br />3Ø, 199Ø, on the budget proposed by the City Manager for said City for <br />the fiscal year beginning October 1, 199Ø¡ and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the public hearing all interested persons were given <br />an opportunity to be heard for or against any item or the amount of any <br />item therein contained; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after this public hearing, the City Council adopted the <br />budget for the City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 199Ø and <br />ending on September 30, 1991, on August 27, 199Ø¡ and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this budget set forth itemized estimates of the expense <br />of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for that fiscal year <br />and appropriated money for the various funds and purposes of such <br />estimate¡ and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, the City Council declares that a public <br />necessity exists which requires amendment of the budget¡ now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That that the City Budget Ordinance for the 199Ø-1991 <br />Fiscal Year is hereby amended as s~t forth in the attached Exhibit A, <br />in order to provide increased funding for City participation in the <br />Texas Historical Commission Certified Local Government grant program. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That these revisions and reappropriations which shall <br />be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal <br />year 199Ø-199l beg inning October 1, 199Ø and ending on September 30, <br />1991, are hereby approved and adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an <br />emergency and an imperative public necessity so that the provisions of <br />the Charter requiring that ordinances shall be presented at three <br />separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until <br />the expiration of ten (lØ) days following the date of its final passage <br />be suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this <br />Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and <br />after its adoption and after its publication in a newspaper of general <br />circulation within the City as provided by the City Charter of the City <br />of San Marcos. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED this 26th day of November, <br />199Ø. <br /> <br />~.~ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ci. ., te.st: ~. l.".J Approved: <br />i i / .
