<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br /> ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING LOT 1,
<br /> BLOCK 1 OF INTERNATIONAL ELECTRIC CORPORATION
<br /> ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS
<br /> COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 2809 IH-35 SOUTH
<br /> FROM "I" INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO "LI" LIGHT
<br /> INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE
<br /> DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on October 2,1990, the Zoning Commission of the city
<br /> of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br /> the zoning from "I" Industrial District to "LI" Light Industrial
<br /> District for Lot 1, Block 1 of International Electric Corporation
<br /> Addition of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, and,
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br /> Zoning commission did, on October 2,1990, consider the request and
<br /> voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be
<br /> approved by the City Council of the City; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 10th
<br /> day of December , 1990, regarding the request; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as
<br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br /> amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "I"
<br /> (Industrial District) to "LI" (Light Industrial District):
<br /> LOT 1, BLOCK 1 OF INTERNATIONAL ELECTRIC CORPORATION
<br /> ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS AS
<br /> RECORDED IN VOLUME 3, PAGE 393 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT
<br /> RECORDS.
<br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br /> following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on December 17, 1990it shall be
<br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br /> City of San Marcos, Texas.
<br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 10thday of December, 1990,
<br /> subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting
<br /> scheduled for December 17, 1990 .
