<br />SECTION D. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br />Application Procedures. <br /> <br />1. Any person, organization, joint venture, partnership, <br />association, or corporation desiring that the City of San Marcos <br />consider providing tax abatement and other economic development <br />incentives to encourage location of a business or expanded <br />business operations within the City limits or the extraterritorial <br />jurisdiction of San Marcos shall be required to comply with the <br />following application procedures. <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />Applicant shall file <br />provided by the City. <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />form <br /> <br />application <br /> <br />an <br /> <br />on <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />Applicant shall provide a plat showing the precise <br />location of the property, all roadways within 200 <br />feet of the site, and all existing zoning and land <br />uses on the site and within 200 feet of the site. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />A complete <br />required. <br /> <br />property <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />legal <br /> <br />description <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />d. <br /> <br />A brief description of the proposed improvements or <br />expansion must be provided along with the project's <br />estimated cost, the type of business operation <br />proposed, the number and types of jobs created, the <br />expected source of applicants for such jobs, the <br />projected date of beginning operation and the type <br />and value of the tax abatement and other economic <br />development incentives which are requested. <br /> <br />e. <br /> <br />The applicant shall provide any other information <br />about the proposed project which may be required by <br />the City. <br /> <br />2. The application will be reviewed by the City Manager for <br />completeness and accuracy and comments will be received from <br />appropriate departments. Once this information is compiled, the <br />application and review comments will be forwarded to members of <br />the City Council and to other taxing entities which may be <br />involved in offering tax abatement. After the review by the City <br />Council members and other taxing entities, additional information <br />may be requested of the applicant. <br /> <br />3. All requirements of Chapter 312, of the Texas Tax Code, <br />known as the Property Redevelopment and Tax Abatement Act, shall <br />be followed. <br /> <br />SECTION E. <br /> <br />Approval of Tax Abatement and other <br />Development Incentives by the City Council. <br /> <br />Economic <br /> <br />1. If the City Council determines that it is in the best <br />interest of the City of San Marcos to provide incentives to a <br />
