Mr. Moore expressed concern with the traffic that would be generated when this property is developed. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF LOT THIRTEEN (13) IN BLOCK THIRTY-THREE (33), VIC- TORY GARDENS, SECTION TWO (2), A SUBDIVISION LOCATED IN SAID CITY, TO ISABEL P. CAUDILLO; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO ISABEL P. CAUDIL- LO AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 6.96 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OF LAND AREA PREPARED FROM PUBLIC RECORD INFOR- MATION OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 1, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PORTION OF THAT 82.06 ACRE TRACT DESCRIBED IN A DEED FROM W. B. WILLIAMS TO TOM E. TURNER DATED JULY 14, 1983, AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 397, PAGE 824 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, A/K/A 2500 HUNTER ROAD, FROM "AO" (AGRICULTURAL-OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) TO "P" (PUBLIC USE). Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final read- ing and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Gayle Ross expressed concern for the safety of traffic if the entrance to this subdivision was not aligned with the entrance to Kroger. Billy Moore of the Planning Com- mission said the master plan of this development was the best the City has ever received and that there was relative inflexibility in the plan presented. The Planning Commission thought a signalization light costing approximately $37,000 at the entrance of Kroger and another at the en- trance of this subdivision were needed and recommended the City and County cooperate for improvements of Hunter Road to widen the shoulder.
