<br /> CJD-13 A <br /> The equipment listed is needed to operate the <br /> central office of the Tri-County Multi-Agency Law <br /> Enforcement Unit. <br /> A. The typewriter is needed for the secretary <br /> to do her duties each day, such as the <br /> reports issued by the co-ordinator, files, <br /> 1 etters, etc. ( Typewriter cost is $750). <br /> B. The file cabinets will house the case <br /> reports submitted by each agency of their <br /> major index crimes (Estimated cost is $600). <br /> C. The vehicle radio will be used by co-ordin- <br /> ator in his vehicle as long as he is in <br /> the employment of the Tri-County Law En- <br /> forcement Unit. It will have channel connec- <br /> tion with all agencies involved in the Unit <br /> (Cost $700). <br /> D. Computer, printer, etc. will be the primary <br /> equipment of the office to store the data <br /> retrieved from case reports, intelligence <br /> given by departments and received from other <br /> sources. It will furnish any information re- <br /> quested by Agency Department heads (Estimated <br /> cost $12,500). <br /> E. The communication office equipment will be <br /> a remote station for the secretary or the <br /> part-time assistant to reach the co-ordinator <br /> when he is away from the office. Even more <br /> important is the need for the co-ordinator to <br /> reach the liaison personnel or the Department <br /> heads of each Agency. A 1 so, it will be used <br /> to purchase a handheld radio for the co-ordin- <br /> ator to work in the field with the officers of <br /> each Agency (Cost $3,200). <br /> The Agencies will evenly divide the local cash con- <br /> tribution of $8,895. Requested Grant Monies is $8,875, <br /> for a Total of $17,759 for equipment. <br />
