Contract Extension <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Gilley: <br /> <br />As you know, we have been working for. almost a year on.deve1oping a <br />mobility s:b:ategy for the City of San Marcos, a thoroughfare : plan. for <br />H&ys County., and. a public' transportationassessmentwhi.ch includes' the <br />Southwest Texas Sta:\:e University. shuttle. system. Much. of the study is <br />nearing c:ompletionand we anticipate having draft recommendations on all <br />components of the study completed by the end of March for review by the <br />task force. Our. original con:t:I::act with the' City of San Marcos for <br />completion of this work scheduleda.January 31st completion. date. Due to <br />several factors which have occurred during the course of our study, and <br />the'desirability to.pursue.public transportation. opportunities: in greater <br />depth, we hereby request, purauant to Article VIII of our existing <br />contract with the City af San Marcos, a contract, time extension for <br />completion of the current mobility planning program on behalf of the City <br />of San Marcos, Hays: County, and Sou.thwest Texas. State Universit.y through <br />April 3.0, 1990. .Wefeel this extension of. time will enable the. task <br />farce and our firm sufficient time to review draft results of our <br />thoroughfare planning and mobility planning efforts, as well as pursue <br />immediate . opportunities .' in: . the area. of public tranaportation.' that were <br />not apparent 'when' we:. began the'study last. year. <br /> <br />Your consideration of our request, and approval of our proposed contract <br />time extension will be greatly appreciated.
