<br /> EXHIBIT B PAGE I <br /> SERVICE PLAN <br />Approximately 110.859 acres adjoining and extending northeast from <br />mile marker 210 being the present boundary of the northern most <br />City limit. <br />1. Police Protection: <br /> Patrolling, response to calls and other routine police <br /> services using present personnel and equipment will be <br /> provided immediately on the effective date of annexation. <br />2. Fire Protection: <br /> Fire protection by the present personnel and equipment of the <br /> Fire Department, within the limitations of available water, <br /> will be provided immediately on the effective date of <br /> annexation. <br />3. Water and Sewer Facilities: <br /> The policies and procedures now established and in force <br /> within the City limits will be followed in expanding and <br /> maintaining water and wastewater infrastructure. The City of <br /> San Marcos shall provide water within two (2) years and <br /> wastewater service within three (3) years of the effective <br /> date of annexation. <br />4. Maintenance of Roads and Streets: <br /> The same standards and policies now established and in force <br /> wi thin the City limits will be followed in maintaining and <br /> expanding the roads and streets within the annexed area. <br /> Construction of streets to City specifications will be the <br /> responsibility of the developer and dedicated to the City of <br /> San Marcos. Maintenance of those streets will become the <br /> responsibility of the City of San Marcos upon dedication by <br /> the developer and acceptance by the Public Works Department. <br />5. Solid Waste Collection: <br /> Solid waste collection will be extended to residential areas <br /> immediately upon the effective date of annexation. <br /> Commercial businesses, industrial uses and institutional uses <br /> must make arrangements with private haulers for solid waste <br /> disposal. <br />
