<br /> GUIDELINES FOR ADMINISTRATION OF TEXAS LOCAL PARKS, <br /> RECREATION, AND OPEN SPACE FUND PROGRAM <br /> 127.50.09.001 <br />This rule is adopted under the authority of Section 24.005, Texas Parks and <br />Wildlife Code. <br />.001. Policy. It is the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission Policy that the <br />Executive Director shall administer local projects in accord with the following <br />guidelines with interpretation of intent to be made to provide the greatest <br />number of outdoor recreational opportunitites for Texas in accord with priorities <br />of the Texas Outdoor Recreation Plan. In keeping with this policy, local projects <br />will not be approved from both the Texas Local Parks, Recreation, and Open Space <br />Fund and the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund Program unless extraordinary <br />circumstances dictate that high priority public needs will not be met without the <br />full or partial funding of both programs. <br /> (a) Rule 127.50.05.001, the Procedural Guide for Land and Water Conservation <br />Fund Program, is adopted for the Texas Local Parks, Recreation, and Open Space <br />Fund Program. <br /> (b) Rule 127.50.08.001, Guidelines for Administration of Local Land and <br />Water Conservation Fund projects, is adopted for the Texas Local Parks, Recreation, <br />and Open Space Fund Program, except all references to the State Liaison Officer <br />shall mean the Executive Director. <br /> Issued in Austin, Texas, on June 6,1980. <br />
