II. Attorney shall commence the performance of the legal services described in Paragraph I, on Monday, July 31, 1989 and continue said services until this Agreement is terminated by either party in accordance with the terms herein. III. City shall compensate Attorney for the services performed hereunder on an hourly basis at a rate of Twenty-four Dollars per hour ($24.00/hr.), not to exceed $5,000.00 without authorization by the City Council of City, within fifteen (15) days upon receipt of Attorney's invoice therefor if the same coincides with City's accounts payable schedule, and if receipt by City of said invoices from Attorney does not coincide with City's accounts payable schedule, compensation to Attorney shall be made as soon after receipt of invoices as possible but in no event later than thirty (30) days thereafter. Attorney shall not invoice City more often than twice per month. City shall reimburse Attorney, at cost, all out-of-pocket expenses she incurs in the performance of the duties contemplated herein. Said reimbursable expenses shall include, but not be limited to, long-distance telephone, printing, duplication, stationary, and facsimile costs. City shall reimburse Attorney, twenty-one cents per mile (.21/mile) for travel in Attorney's personal vehicle incurred in the performance of the duties contemplated herein where anyone round trip destination exceeds thirty (30) miles. Reimbursement under this paragraph is subject to the submittal by Attorney of such documenta-tion as is necessary, in the determination of City, to substantiate the above referenced costs.
