40 CITY OF SAN MARCOS RESOLUTION NO. 1989-109R STATE OF TEXAS A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AND THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF LABOR FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A BUILDINGS FOR LAND TRANSFER AT THE GARY JOB CORPS FACILITY IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the U.S. Department of Labor, have previously entered into an agreement whereby the FAA agreed to provide funding to the City for the acquisition of certain Department of Labor land at the Gary Job Corps Center in exchange for construction by the City of certain improvements on remaining land at the Job Corps Center and transfer of certain additional land by the Department of Labor to the City; and WHEREAS, in accordance with said agreement, the City has engaged the services of Charles Willis & Associates, architects, to design and prepare plans, specifications and other necessary documents for the construction of said replacement facilities at the Gary Job Corps Center; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the efficient and orderly execution of the project that the City and the Department of Labor def ine their respective responsibilities during the above described project; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the agreement between the City of San Marcos, Texas, and the United states Department of Labor, a copy of which said Agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and the same is hereby, approved. PART 2. That the City Manager of the City of San Marcos, Texas, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of the City of San Marcos.
