<br /> 40 <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1989-109R <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AND THE UNITED <br /> STATES DEPARTMENT OF LABOR FOR THE <br /> IMPLEMENTATION OF A BUILDINGS FOR LAND TRANSFER <br /> AT THE GARY JOB CORPS FACILITY IN THE CITY OF <br /> SAN MARCOS <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, the Federal Aviation <br />Administration, and the U.S. Department of Labor, have previously <br />entered into an agreement whereby the FAA agreed to provide <br />funding to the City for the acquisition of certain Department of <br />Labor land at the Gary Job Corps Center in exchange for <br />construction by the City of certain improvements on remaining <br />land at the Job Corps Center and transfer of certain additional <br />land by the Department of Labor to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with said agreement, the City has <br />engaged the services of Charles Willis & Associates, architects, <br />to design and prepare plans, specifications and other necessary <br />documents for the construction of said replacement facilities at <br />the Gary Job Corps Center; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary for the efficient and orderly <br />execution of the project that the City and the Department of <br />Labor def ine their respective responsibilities during the above <br />described project; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />PART 1. That the agreement between the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, and the United states Department of Labor, a copy of which <br />said Agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all <br />intents and purposes, be, and the same is hereby, approved. <br />PART 2. That the City Manager of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute said Agreement <br />on behalf of the City of San Marcos. <br />
