49 RESOLUTION 1989-112R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN ~1ARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A LETTER AGREEMENT vHTH SAFFER UTILITY CONSULTANTS, INC., AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. vŒEREAS, the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has obtained approval of a wholesale power rate increase request from the Texas Public Utility Commission; and, HHEREAS, the City of San Marcos is affected by this increase in wholesale power rates; and, vŒEREAS, the City of San Marcos desires to enter into an agreement with Saffer Utility Consultants, Inc. providing for consulting services to assist said city with its review of the LCRA rate increase, to revise electric tariffs accordingly and to provide training for the City and SMEU staff in the electric rate study process, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART I. That the terms and conditions of the Letter Agreement with Saffer Utility Consultants, Inc., for consulting services to assist said city with its review of the LCRA rate increase, to reVlse electric tariffs accordingly and to provide training for the City and SMEU staff in the electric rate study process, a copy of which proposed agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, are hereby approved. PART 2. That the City Manager of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Larry D. Gilley, is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of said City. PART 3.
