<br /> 52 <br /> RESOLUTION 1989-114~ <br /> A Rr:<iOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br /> AN ENGAGEMENT LETTER BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND <br /> KPMG PEAT MARWICK MAIN AND COMPANY FOR THE PROVISION OF <br /> AUDIT SERVICES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 1989; <br /> AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS <br /> THEREFORE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Ci ty Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br /> desires to have a regular annual audit performed, an annual financial <br /> statement based on said audit prepared and other additional accounting <br /> services provided to the City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, desires to obtain said <br /> professional services from KPMG Peat Marwick Main and Company of <br /> Austin, Texas, a qualified firm of certified public accountants; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That a proposed engagement letter between the City of San <br /> Marcos and KPMG Peat Marwick Main and Company, for the provision of <br /> audit services for the fiscal year ending 1989, a copy of which is <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes is <br /> hereby approved. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley is hereby <br /> authorized to execute said engagement letter and any and all other <br /> documents and instruments incident thereto on behalf of said City. <br /> PART 3.
