Collette Jamison, Assistant City Manager, provided a presentation regarding the Clean Air <br />Ordinance and public smoking initiatives. Following Council discussion the Council provided <br />direction to hold a public hearing on the September 17, 2013 regular meeting, to provide the <br />Council with a hybrid ordinance to review, and to show a trio of columns to aid in the dissection <br />of each ordinance (City of Austin, City of San Antonio and City of San Marcos). <br />38.Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion regarding the proposed Fiscal Year <br />2013 -2014 Budget, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Following discussion the Council provided consensus to fund the following: $58,912.00 to cover <br />the CDBG funding shortfall, $20,000.00 to beautification, $10,000.00 to PALS, and $20,000.00 <br />to be placed in a bucket for Council unexpected specialized travel. <br />39.Hold_ discussion regarding the City's Sign Standards, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Following discussion the Council directed Staff to place this discussion on a future agenda for <br />continued discussion. <br />40.Question and Answer Session with Press and Public <br />None. <br />41.Adiournment <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Scott and a second by Council Member <br />Thomason, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adjourn the regular <br />meeting of the San Marcos city council at 10:10 p.m. The motion carried unanimously. <br />D a <br />ATTEST: <br />
