<br /> 106 <br /> RT~t"'OLUTION 1989- 132 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AN EXCEPTION TO THE POLICY <br /> REGARDING APPOINTMENT OF INDIVIDUALS TO MORE THAN ONE <br /> PERMANENT COMMISSION OR BOARD POSITION; AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council in Resolution 1984-89R, established a <br />policy of appointing an individual to no more than one permanent <br />commission or board position except where duplicate appointments are <br />authorized or required by law, ordinance or charter; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, in appointing members to a capital <br />improvements advisory committee pursuant to Section 395.058 of the <br />Texas Local Government Code, find s that an allowance for duplicate <br />membership on this committee and on the Planning Commission and Zoning <br />Commission is authorized by that Section, and is in the best interests <br />of the citizens of San Marcos; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. That duplicate appointments of individuals to either the <br />Planning Commission or the Zoning Commission, and to the Capital <br />Improvements Advisory Committee, are hereby expressly authorized as <br />an exception to the policy contained in Resolution 1984-89R. <br />PART 2.
