<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THAT
<br />ORDINANCE ADOPTED AUGUST 31, 1987 í"lHICH
<br />SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE
<br />EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH ADMINISTRATIVE
<br />UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID
<br />CITY FOR THE FISCAL YKAR BEGINNING
<br />OCTOBER 1, 1987 AND ENDING ON SEPTEi'1BER
<br />30, 1988, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE
<br />VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH
<br />ESTIMATE, TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES AND TO
<br />REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS, ADOPTING SAID
<br />REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES, AND DECLARING AN
<br />EMERGENCY.

<br />WHEREAS, after publication of notice on July 17, 1987,
<br />the Ci ty Counc i 1 of the Ci ty of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br />publ ic hear i ng on August 5, 1987, on the budget proposed by
<br />the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br />October 1, 1987; and,
<br />
<br />Í"lHEREAS, at sa id pub1 i c hear i ng all in teres ted per sons
<br />were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br />or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, after said public hearing, the City Council of
<br />the Ci ty of San J'1arcos, Texas, adopted the budget for sa id
<br />City for the fiscal year beginning October 1,1987 and ending
<br />on September 30, 1988, on August 31,1987; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br />said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds
<br />and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br />Charter of the Ci ty of San Marcos, Texas, sa id City Counc i 1
<br />declares that a public necessity exists which requires
<br />amendment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SI\N
<br />~1ARCOS, TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. That that Ordinance adopted August 31,1987,
<br />which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense of
<br />conducting each administrative unit of the municipal
<br />government of said City for the fiscal year beginning October
<br />1, 1987 and ending on September 30, 1988, and appropriated
<br />money for the var i ous funds and purposes of such estimate,
<br />be, and the sarne is hereby amended as set forth in Exhibit A,
<br />which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, in \vords
<br />and figures as shown therein, for all intents and purposes.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations
<br />which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, for the fiscal year 1987-88 beginning October 1, 1987
<br />and ending on September 30, 1988, be, and the same are
<br />hereby, approved and adopted.
