<br />32 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1988-92R <br /> <br />A RESOLUT ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS OF A CONTRACT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND <br />THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FOR THE <br />PERFORMANCE BY CITY OF A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO <br />EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY, <br />AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS <br />FROM INTERESTED PROJECT MANAGERS AND ENGINEERS <br />FOR SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH SAID PROGRAM <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has recently been <br />awarded a $3ØØ, øøø. øø grant from the Texas Department of <br />Commerce under the Texas Communi ty Development prog ram for <br />use in a project involving the construction of water and <br />sewer facilities, flood, drainage and street improvements in <br />the Victory Gardens and Dunbar Neighborhoods of said Ci ty; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said City must enter into a contract with the <br />Texas Department of Commerce to bind their mutual obligations <br />in the performance of said program; and, <br /> <br />WHERERAS, said City desires to solicit proposals from <br />interested eng ineers for all el ig ible eng ineer ing serv ices <br />related to said project; and, <br /> <br />\'1HEREAS, said City desires to solicit proposals from <br />interested management consultants for all administration <br />activities related to said project; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the terms and conditions of that contract <br />between the City of San Marcos, Texas and the Texas <br />Department of Commerce providing for the funding and <br />administration of a Texas Communi ty Development Program in <br />the Victory Gardens and Dunbar Neighborhoods of said City, a <br />copy of said contract being attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein for all purposes, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the Mayor of said City, Kathy M. Morris, <br />is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of <br />said City. <br /> <br />PART 3. That the Ci ty Staff is hereby author i zed to <br />solicit proposals from interested engineers for all <br />engineering services in connection with said project. <br /> <br />PART 4. That City Staff is hereby authorized to <br />solicit proposals from interested management consultants for <br />all administration activities related to said project. <br /> <br />PART 5.
