<br />III <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1988-109R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS RATIFYING THE CITY <br />MANAGER'S AUTHORITY TO ACCEPT AND EXECUTE, ON <br />BEHALF OF SAID CITY, A GRANT OF FEDERAL FUNDS <br />AND THE CONDITIONS OF ITS APPROVAL FROM THE <br />U. S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />MATCHING ADDITIONAL MONIES WHICH WILL BE <br />PROVIDED TO SAID CITY BY THE FEDERAL AVIATION <br />ADMINISTRATION, AUTHORIZING THE CITY r1ANAGER <br />TO EXECUTE ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS INCIDENT <br />THERETO ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY, AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Labor may grant funds to the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas for the purpose of matching funds which <br />will be granted to said city by the Federal Aviation <br />Administration for the construction of functional replacement <br />facilities for the Gary Job Corps Center in San Marcos, Texas to <br />effectua te the transfer of three (3) acres of land from the U. S. <br />Department of labor to said city; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />Larry Gilley, on September 28, 1988, indicated the City's <br />acceptance of the grant and the cond i tions of its approval from <br />the U.S. Department of Labor by executing said grant on behalf of <br />said city; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN 1'1ARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the Ci ty Manager's author i ty to accept and <br />execute, on behalf of the City of San Marcos, Texas, a grant of <br />federal funds and the cond i tions of its approval from the U. s. <br />Department of Labor for the purpose of matching additional monies <br />which will be prov ided to the Ci ty of San Marcos, Texas, by the <br />Federal Aviation Administration for the construction of functional <br />replacement buildings at Gary Job Corps Center, San Marcos, Texas, <br />to effectuate the transfer of 37 acres of land from the U.S. <br />Department of Labor to the Ci ty of San t<1arcos, Texas, is hereby <br />ratified. <br /> <br />PART 2. Tha t the Ci ty Manager of the Ci ty of San t-1arcos, <br />Texas, is hereby authorized to execute any other documents <br />incident to said grant from the U. S. Department of Labor on <br />behalf of said City. <br /> <br />PART 3.
