<br />139 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 88- 6SR <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING THE STIPULATION AND <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN LOWER COLORADO RIVER <br />AUTHORITY AND THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND <br />ITS AGENT, ELECTRIC UTILITY BOARD, IN DOCKET <br />NO. 8032 BEFORE THE PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION <br />OF TEXAS, APPLICATION OF LOWER COLORADO RIVER <br />AUTHORITY TO CHANGE RATES. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lower Colorado River Authority ("LCRA") <br />filed its Application for Authority to Change Rates in Docket <br /> <br />No. 8032 before the Public utility Commission of Texas on March <br /> <br />14, 1988; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council authorized intervention in <br /> <br />the proceeding, and a Petition in Intervention was filed with the <br />Public Utility Commission on March 30, 1988; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the hearing on LCRA's Application to Change <br /> <br />Rates commenced on June 20, 1988, and upon motion of LCRA was <br /> <br />immediately recessed for commencement of settlement negotiations; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, representatives of the City and the Board have <br />negotiated and presented to the Council and the Board for <br /> <br />approval a Stipulation and Agreement, and the City has determined <br /> <br />it is in the best interest of its ratepayers to enter into such <br /> <br />Stipulation and Agreement and wishes to empower its legal <br /> <br />representative to execute such Stipulation and Agreement; now, <br /> <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> <br />MARCOS: <br />
